Request to add Japan Consumption Tax (JCT) on the Products page.
Currently, Scale Insights only shows VAT fields for EU marketplaces, leaving JP marketplace users without equivalent tax visibility.
As Japan’s new consumption tax rules continue to affect cross‑border sellers, having a dedicated JCT field—similar to how VAT is surfaced—will help brands stay compliant, avoid miscalculations, and maintain accurate pricing and profitability analysis.
Use Case
A seller operating in Japan wants to confirm whether their product pricing already includes JCT.
On the Products page, they should see a JCT field alongside other marketplace‑specific tax fields (e.g., VAT for EU).
This allows them to:
- Validate tax‑inclusive vs tax‑exclusive pricing
- Ensure compliance with Japan’s consumption tax requirements
- Avoid manual cross‑checking or external spreadsheets
