In today's marketplace dynamic it is crucial to be able to scale up or down budgets depending on what competitors are doing. For example if your main competitors are running LD or BD or Price Discounts in that day, your best performing campaigns can have 2 times lower ROAS. If they are scaled the previous days and are spending a lot, having a such a day will impact negatively your profitability.
And the other way around. If you as a brand are running deals, your campaigns might perform great in that day. Meaning budgets should be scaled if they are positive.

elyn , increasing budgets based on acos or spend should work fine. For example if campaign has ACOS less than 30% and is oob, SI automation running on hourly basis can increase budget by fix amount or percentage
Increasing budget every 2-3 hours or more should work great
In the evening hours or early hours when most people are not close to work station, having this automation to look for campaigns budget will work well

Agree with this. This is especially helpful during tier 1 events, and can save lots of time.
